My Tapa Cloth

Tapa is made in the Pacific Ocean, primarily in Tonga, Samoa and Fiji and many more. In Hawaii there call it kapa not tapa.

On my Tapa there is two flowers. One flower represents my name. My name is Te Puawaitanga and it means The Rising Blossom. The other flower represents my culture Aitutaki. The others represents two birds standing in the sea. Even though it doesn't look like a bird on Tapa it looks like a flower.

Do you want to make your own Tapa. Here is what you need: a brown paper bag, a pencil, a black crayon, a brown crayon, a yellow crayon, brown dye, and a paint brush.

What you need to do: You can draw four or one pattern on the brown paper bag. When you finish drawing your pattern. You can now trace over your pattern and colour it in with a black or brown crayon. After colouring and tracing it you can now go over to your dye and paint your whole piece of paper and you can paint over the pattern. Lastly your Tapa pattern is finally done.

How drugs can ruined your life?

This term we went to the life education caravan and talk about drugs. Because drugs can ruined your life. Here is a paragraph I made about how drugs can ruined your life.

Not everyone is made for drugs. Because drugs can damage your brain and there can ruined your life. Drugs don`t choose people, people choose drugs.
