Whale Writing

Do you know that the largest whale is a blue whale. There have a thick layer of fat called blubber it keeps them warm under freezing water. There have powerful flippers that helps them steer them self and there body is shaped as a stream lined body.

My reflection of term 2

What I enjoyed

I enjoyed doing art with Miss King.

What did I learn

I learn lots about kandisky who live in Moscow, Russia.

How do I feel about my term overall

I felt really good this term because it was about art.

What did I find most interesting

I learnt how to blend colours.

What could I have done better to help my learning

I could have finished off my work more better.

Youth Town

Have you ever been to Youth Town? I have!  

On Thursday Rooms 13 and 16 went to Youth Town. When we got there we had to put our bags in a little room.

We first went into the Clay Room where two ladies named Sue and Georgia were going to teach us how to make clay vases. I was feeling excited and I thought I'm  going to make a vase for my Mum because she's the best mum ever! My vase looked good for my Mum.

When I finish my Clay Vase I went to the sports room. I went upstairs and I played Ping Pong with Asena. When I lost I went downstairs and played Basketball all by myself.

I didn't go swimming because I had a infected hand.

Then we went back to school. I had fun at Youth Town.

My art Work

I kept working to finish of my painting. It took me a little bit longer to finish my kandinsky art.I listened and followed my teacher’s instructions. Miss King said “Do not put the colours together you need to put different colours next to each other”. My third instruction was to paint all the bold black lines. We used a little bit of the dark colours then we blended colours with water to go from dark t bright. I liked to finish my picture because I love doing painting is a lot of fun. I finally got to the color green Miss King said “This time don't rush just work slow”. The hardest part was blending the colors with water. But I did do well blending the colors. I need to work slowly and carefully. I enjoyed blending the colors together.

Kandinksy

Wassily Kandinksy was born on December 1866 in Moscow Russia. His mother was a homemaker and his father was tea merchant.

From an early age Wassily exhibited a special gift called Synaesthesia Cognate. This gift made him hear color and see sound.

Kandinsky studied economic and law at the University of Moscow and was a professor at 27. 3 years later at  the age 30 , he moved to Munich in Germany and studied art. In Initially he was interested in creating sketches of human bodies

Swimming Recount

Have you been swimming yet? Well in term 2 Room 13 got ready to the pools for our swimming lesson. Filled with anticipation, we walked to the pool in a hole class.

When we get in at got changed into our togs. I had a warm shower. Then it was time to go and  have our swimming lesson. Jordenne and I had to swim together too see what group were in. I made it into group 2 our instructor name is naddley.

Hopping in the pool I felt cold. When We were doing a floating on our back is a bit hard I always fall down. Me and Mua were having a breathing comption.

Finally it was time to get out of the pool. It was time to go back to school.

My Flower Tissue Art

Painting the background, we became a little bit messy.

As I folded the tissues into petals, I found it quite tricky.

Onto the  background we glued our flowers.

Finally we painted the flowers with bright colours.
