A day something went missing

Waiting for my younger sister to wake up in the hospital. I wanted to take my baby brother down to the park to play. Waiting for him to put his shoes on, my mum was telling me to watch out for him. Exiting  the door my mum said “Bye”
we replied “Goodbye.”

Walking over to the stairs, my baby brother stop and looked at me.
“ What's wrong? “ I asked.
“ I don't want to go down the stairs I want to go on the elevator.” he said.
So we walked over and pressed the button. While we were in the elevator I was telling him to stay by me and don't wander off.

When we got there we walked over to the park. “ Weeeeeeee!!!” He said when he was going down the slide. While I i was sitting there he came up to me and said I want to go back now. So we walked up the stairs and went to the elevator. When we were about to go, he said “My jacket is at the park.”
So I said to him “Sit here and wait for me.”
So he did.

Running down to the park I could see the elevator go up. So I was wondering who was one it. So I ran up the stairs and saw that my baby brother wasn't there .  So I stood there in shock. I pressed the button and waited for the elevator to come down. Once it came down I saw that he wasn't in there .  So I freaked out.

So I stood there in silence. While I was standing there I saw the elevator come down and I saw a women come down. I asked her “ Have you seen a little boy”
she said “No sorry”
So I jumped on the elevator and went to the 6th floor. Walking over to my little sister ward. I saw something move in the corner of my eye. So I looked back. I walked into this art room and saw that my brother was in their drawing with another little boy.

So I walked over to him and asked if he wanted to go see your sister and he said yes. So I grabbed his hand and we walked of. When we entered my mum asked me if everything was alright and I said no. Then I told her everything.

After all that talking my little sister finally woke up. “ What a day!!” I said to myself.

Volleyball

“ Let go Pt England” I heard someone yell. Waiting on the volleyball court for the game to start. I had a really big feeling that we were going to win. Standing in the front row. I heard the siren go off. “ All girl teams please start when the whistle blows.

SMACK!! Went the ball. As I saw the ball go over my head. I was thinking to myself “ If it comes to me should I hit it or not. Standing there with my hand shaking I knew that the ball was coming my way. So I put my hands together and hit it. “ Whew” I said to myself.

Waiting for the ball to come my way. I heard one of the girls say “ Seattle” So she hit it up and then someone else hit it. I stood in shock. Watching the ball go high up in the air. I knew it wasn't going go over. So I quickly jumped up and spiked it over. “ Yay” said the team. Waiting for the second whistle to go for swap over. I was jogging on the spot. “ Let’s go Pt England. You can do this”  said someone the sideline.sideline. Wooooooooo!! went the whistle.

“Swap over” said the referee. While we were swapping over our coach Timmy was telling us to us the dig when their spike it. So the whistle blew. I could see everyone getting nervous because we were losing by
2 point. “ We can do this girl” said Timmy. Standing there in our ready position. I had a really big feeling that we can do this. SMACK!! Went the ball.

Once I let go of the ball I saw that the girls on the other team. Weren't gonna hit. So we got on point. The I did it again and their didn't get. So I jumping around happy because we were betting them. As I was jumping around I saw that the ball was coming my way. So I got ready. As I smacked the ball I saw that the referee was just about to blow her whistle. So I quickly went back into my piston.

Waiting for the ball to come over. I was telling the girls that we were gonna win. So we got ready. As the ball flew over our heads. I had a feeling that no one was gonna hit it. So I ran over to it and just made it. Then the ball went over and then someone smack high. So I ran up to the ball and spiked it. WOOOOOO!! Went the whistle.

“ Yay we won”  I shouted. Feeling so cocky. I went to do our cheers. Walking over to our bags. I was jumping up and down. “ Yay you girls were awesome” said Timmy.

Reality Trip

On the show Reality Trip there were 5 New Zealanders. Their names were Stephanie who was 21, Anna who was 19, Stevie who was 21, Peter who was 22 and Kieran who was 25. Their all had to travel to asia to experience what life is in Manila. The most shocking thing was that their had to make coils for hard drive.

The hard thing about it was that their had to make 300 coils in one hour. Nearly of the people are financially responsible. Except for one girl. That girl is Stephanie. This girl will always buy stuff. Like clothes, jewelry and make up. This girl spent $200 dollars on jewelry. $2000 is 9 months of what their earn.

The 2 thing I have learnt is to always be financially responsible, spend your money on wise things

Maths Progression -3

This is my 3rd maths progression. I think I'm still in level blue. I still need to work on my talking and sharing. I still need to ask help when and where ever.

A Digizen

Today in maths we worked with Miss Kyla. We learnt what citizen and digizen are. Today we had to make a person on goggle drive. I made this little person. Everything on his body represents something. The hair means to show empathy wherever there are. The face means to keep happy where and whenever your on-line. The body means when you go on the wrong site you will always leave your digital footprint.

Conjoined Twis

A women in Texas has beat 1 in 50 million odds by giving birth to identical triplets. Two of which is conjoined at the pelvis.

Silvia Hernandez and her husband were excited to discover that she was going to have triplets. However there were concerns because 2 of her baby were conjoined. Silvia, her husband and her son welcomed her daughters, Catalina and the conjoined twins Ximena and Scarlett.

All 3 girls weighed 4 pounds, 11 ounces. It is remarkable to give birth to triplets but, it is even remarkable for them to be identical - odds are 1 in 60,000 to 1 in 200 million.
Dr. Haroon Patel, a pediatric surgeon at Driscoll Children's Hospital. Corpus Christi, said “ It would be six months until the two twins would be able to separate.” Catalina, Xiema and Scarlett were born a Saturday at Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area.
Robertson said “ The girls were born to Silvia Hernandez of Brownsville via cesarean section, at about 34 weeks. A normal pregnancy is about 41 weeks. Each baby weighed 4 pounds, 11 ounces. They were breathing without respirators.”

"Tinkering, Tools and Toys"

Today for Zeal Zone, Team 5 began "Tinkering. Tools and Toys." Our class spent time brainstorming ways that we could make Pt. England a better place to be. I am in a group with Keis, Mao, Rebekah, Quasia and Lizara. Our group name is called Chicken Wing.

My group has decided that we are going to do a Arcade, but only for girls. If we had to build a Arcade we would put it in the green screen room with some vending machine.

Puawai Future Aspiration

Today at school 3 special visitors came to our school to talk about their Future Aspiration. What is Future Aspiration? Well Future Aspiration means looking into the Future and aiming for you goal in life. In your life you have to strive to succeeded.

Our 3 special visitors were Marcus Winter, Louis Gordon-Latty and Andrew Patterson. Marcus Winter “ The Sandman”, Louis Gordon-Latty “ Glory League” and Andrew Patterson “ The Speaker.

The first presenter was Marcus Winter. Marcus Winter is a sand artist. When he was in primary he was a painstakingly (very slow writer) writer. When he was in primary he was in the extension class. He thought that he was one of the brainiest in his school. But when he found that extension is for all the dumb people.

Our final presenter was Louis Gordon-Latty. Louis Gordon-Latty is a man who loves to play basketball even when he was 5 years old. He told us about an invention he made up that involves an iPad. This invention was made to record people while they're playing basketball. How it works, well it works when the judges press a button then the iPad starts recording, and it stops when the judges press another button and then the iPad sends an email to everyone who was playing basketball.

The speaker was Andrew Patterson. Andrew Patterson talked about quotes. One of the quotes are “ Do more of what makes you awesome” and “ You don't remember what people said, you don't remember what they did BUT you do remember how they made you fell” I enjoyed listening to them all.

Matific

The thing I liked about this activity was that I learnt how to do long division. The long division strategy is really good. Because when you have a hard division equation. I would use this strategist.

Five facts about Anzac

1. The original ANZAC biscuit was known as an ANZAC wafer or tile and was part of the rations given to ANZAC soldiers during World War I. They were included instead of bread because they had a much longer shelf life.

2.  ANZAC was originally named the Australasian Army Corps. However protests from New Zealand led to the adoption of Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Administration clerks found the title too long and adopted the abbreviation of ANZAC.

3. “Lest We Forget” is a phrase popularized in 1897 by Rudyard Kipling, which was adopted as the final line of The Recitation along with the "Ode of Remembrance", taken from Laurence Binyon's "For the Fallen".

4. In Tonga, Samoa, Cook Islands and Niue, ANZAC Day is also commemorated to honour their soldiers who participated to the campaign.

5. ANZAC Day is commemorated in France in the towns of Le Quesnoy and Longueval.

Kia Ora! My name is Te Puawaitanga and I am 12 years old. I am a year 8 student at Pt England School. I am Maori and Cook Island.  My teacher this year is Mrs Moala and I am in Room 4.  I enjoy playing netball, playing with my friends and visiting my family's.  The best thing about this year is that I am a year 8, but the sad thing is that this is my last year at Pt England school. So that means I have to pick up the pace and finish school happy and proud.
