Here is the things I got and to do on my Easter Hoiday

Top Town

On Wednesday my school had camp. Our first activity was Top Town with Mr Jacobson. We were versing the band. Mr Jacobson was telling us how to do the game.  It was long but we stilled fun. When he finish explaining the our team about the game. We went to fill up some water balloons.

When we started the game we first had to do the boards. There were 3 boards. Some  kids had to go on one of the boards and throw the other on in front of them. One person had to be at the back and pull it around us and put in in the front of the other people.

When we got to the other side he had to throw our water balloons to the band.  I only got to throw one because all the others were in the way. We were the wettest ones. So we went to the next one which was the skies. We had a great Idea. We grab the wood and put in front of us. Just like we did with the boards. So all of us got over to the other side.

Then we had to do the mountain. We had to go under and out. Our tarpaulin broke. Then we move onto the the gumboots. We had to throw into the hula hoop.

We had to get it in 10 times. I got it in 2 times and some kids got it in more. When we finish that we went the slingshot. It was when we had to throw tennis balls in it and it flies to the other tarpaulin. When we got it on 5 times we had to do all the things all over again. When we did all the 5 things we went to put up the flag and we won.

Sleeping in our tents

While I was sleeping in my tent I heard a lot of people snoring and birds singing. lying down in our sleeping bags the ground felt lumpy and hard and when I was sleeping in my tent we heard our teachers talking to each other.

It was just the same normal day in room 17. Kids going of to there Literacy classes. Doing their work and do reading with their teacher.

While we were doing our work something mystery happened. All the computers disappeared,even the teachers disappear and, we were sad too because our netbooks were gone to.  
While Paige, Alarzae, Nikki, Ata and Me walked around the school there were hardly no teacher in their classes. So we walked into the senior block and we saw all the senior shouting “ YEAH NO TEACHERS” So all 5 of us had a idea.

We walked over to houses to asked if they can come to be a reliever. But no adults were at home. So were all shouted out “ DEAR GOD PLEASE MAY YOU HELP US FIND OUR TEACHERS, COMPUTERS,NETBOOKS AND OUR PARENT ” But then all of a sudden something weird happen.

A rainbow appeared. So all 5 of us ran back to school as fast as we could and saw the Teachers, Netbooks and Computers back.

What a day I said to my friends what a day. So we all kept doing our things. But then the next day our chairs disappeared. But I said “ Lets leave it for another person”.

My Teacher Miss Garden is  a very funny. She has brown hair with a lot of curls and she wears it out. Her skin colour is pale and she is tall and she loves to wear skirt.

She is a very happy teacher. She loves to play outdoors games like sports. She is my home teacher and my maths teacher.

On Thursday night Point England had prize giving in their own hall. The juniors were at 2.00 0’clock and the seniors were at 7.00 pm. When it was time for the seniors pzir giving we had to sit in our places.I had to do  two items which were kapa haka and my normal one with my own team.

I was so surprised that I was in Kapa Haka. The first time we perform was for the juniors we did 3 songs which were Ko Tena Aroha, Papakitetaha, and He Taua.

When kapa haka was finished it was for my team to shine but first we had to give out our prizes. Some girls and boys in my class got awards. I was so scared because I was in front with my friend. We were dancing so hard out I nearly fell. Dancing was a lot of fun

In our class we had to do a perimeter. My group had to do level 3 witch was pretty hard. I only did 1 question and it was right.  Perimeter means how long is the outside.

2012 Manaiakalani Reflection

This year is different for me because when I was a year 4 in room 11 I did not know how to write stories probably. But when I got my my netbook Miss King show us how to do good and exciting words and paragraphs.

I think that learning is fun. On our netbooks and blogs we learn, Create and Share to the world.

2012 has surprised me because we have our own netbook and Miss KIng was my teacher.

What I would do more this year is to P.E,Music and Dancing.

My goals for 2012 is to speak loud and clear. But the one the I need to work on is making sense.

Having a netbook is fun because we learn,create and share online with the world.

The best thing for being a year 5 is we learn how to make movies and edit them.

Thank-You Watersafe Auckland

Thank-You Chris and Watersafe Auckland for letting Pt England school have the pool at our school. The first day we had  the pool we all thought is was closer to us instead of walking down to the G.I pools. At our school there are two helpful teachers whose names are Mr Garth Jacobsen and Mr Malloy.

The first day my class went into the pool was on Wednesday. We were so excited because we were the first class to go in. We learnt about a lot of thing which were, Floating, Treading Water, Life Jackets, Capesize which means it keeps yourself safe in water, Raft Building, Waves and Whirlpools. We learnt about all of these because when you're stuck in the water you can do all these things.

Thank-You to all the people for Manaiakalani

Yesterday the Minister of Education, Hekia Parata, came to Pt England school. She came to our school because she had heard that we are great. It was really was fun to have her there.


I would like to say thank-you to Mr Burt and Mrs Burt for starting Manaiakalani 2012. Manaiakalani is where we connect with other people and we use our netbooks to learn.  
Thank- you to my Mum and Dad for paying for my netbook.

2012 Manaiakalani Film Festival

On Wednesday my class went to Sylvia Park for the Manaiakalani Film Festival. Hopping on the bus I played with my friends and I had lots of fun. When we got there we went into the theater to watch some movies that others schools had made. I liked the introduction.
This is my Favourite movie.

Alma

Walking through a lot of snow, down a narrow alleyway surrounded by big buildings, a little girl named Alma, who was five years old, saw a big chalkboard filled with names. Seeing so many names, she decided to add her name too. Picking up the chalk she wrote her name on the board. She spelled it out loud A.L.M.A.

While writing down her name, she heard a weird noise. Alma looked around, no one was there so she carried on. Moments later she heard the weird sound again. She turned around and Alma saw a doll that looked the same as her.

Running towards the window, Alma looked closely and it did look just like her. She wiped off the frost from the window,  she saw other dolls. As Alma tried to open the door it didn't open for her, she picked up a snowball and threw it.   

Suddenly the door opened and Alma walked inside. Looking all over the place, she saw a lot of dolls. Alma felt so scared. She thought in her head that she was only here for the doll.  Going towards the doll, Alma hit another doll on the ground. She picked it up.  It pedalled around in circles and then went straight for the door.

The door  slammed in its face and Alma thought it looked like it was trying to escape. She turned back, but saw nothing, her doll  was no longer there. Alma looked up on the shelves  and there it was.

Alma walked up to the shelves, she climbed on a couch. Looking at the doll, Alma carefully touched it. As she touched it’s face she heard a loud noise ZAP!!!! Alma looked around. She was so scared, she didn't know where she was. Alma was Feeling so scared  and all Alma could move was her eyes. Alma looked around and all other dolls were moving their eyes and looking at her.

My Narrative Story at the beach

Walking with my family we were going to Pt England Reserve to  have a swim and picnic. Dancing to the beach I said happily“ I can`t  wait to get there mum” When we got there I was excited. I waited for mum to give my togs. Off I went running to the toilets to get charge.


Running towards the water I saw my brother Toko who did a big boom and made me get wet it was fun. I jumped in and did a boom. I did it over and over again. Mum said “Come and have some lunch now”. So I went to have some lunch.


After I was eating I went to go have fun. When I did a boom my tummy felt sore. I said sadly to mum “ I have a sore tummy. Mum said “ You have a sore stomach because when you eat at the beach and then go for a swim you feel sick, that`s why you have to wait for a little while then go and have fun.”

Then we went back home because I had a sore stomach. My brothers and sisters were crying even my big brothers I said “ Sorry for doing that”

My Halloween narrative story

It was Halloween and me and my little brother were fighting over the bucket of lollies. I said angrily “Give the bucket to me.”  My little brother aggressively shouted “I was the one who got them.” Then the bucket broke and all the lollies were scattered around the ground.
