Basketball

At school we have to famous men who comes and dose Basketball with us there names are Tai and Brook. Every Thursday we have Basketball with them . Last week on Thursday was our last day of Basketball. We first did  warm ups then some drills then a game.

When we went on the court we got straight into our game. I said in my head “ Why aren't we doing some drills and warm ups”. I asked Tai “ Why aren't we doing some drills first. He said “ Because it is the last day of Basketball. I said “ Ohhhhh.

Then we played our games we played Tunnel ball and Overhead first. Then we played a shooting game we had to go around the cones. Then we played our last game. When we played our last game it was fun. Then the bell went it was time to go to class. The whole class said “bye Tai and Brook. It was fun.

Farewell Mrs Verry

On Friday we had a special Assembly for Mrs Verry. She was leaving because her knee was broken. When I walked through the door I saw Mr Burt with a wig on and cool glasses because Mrs Verry loves bling. All the other teachers were wearing bling.   

 At assembly Mr Burt told us that she was his neighbor and she was a child supporter. Everyday she wears bling. That's why Mr Burt calls her the Queen of Bling and she's Pt England's super gran. We had two groups who got up to perform.  They were the junior  pounamua group and the Samoa girls to say goodbye.

First Mr Burt played a movie and then the 
 Junior Pounamua group up and did a Haka. Then the Samoa girls went up. They had pretty clothes and necklaces on. Then they were finished. Mrs Verry was crying. Then Mr Burt asked her to do a speech. Then assembly was finish. I said " I MISS YOU MISS VERRY!!!!!!!!!   

Netball Prize giving

On Saturday I had a prize giving down to the A.S.B netball courts. I woke up and said dad I have to met at school to have a prize giving down at the netball courts in Glen innes. I had a shower then had my breakfast. Then I was ready. My dad said “ bye darling have a great time” I went of walking.


When I near school I thought no one was there but then I saw Iron and her sister zion. So Iron told Miss Va’afusuaga our sports teacher. I went to go get change.
Then we were waiting for Miss Squires. Miss Squires went to go pick me up at my house but I was already at school. “Wast a time” I said in my head. Then Miss Squires came back. It was time to go to the courts.


When we got there we went inside. We sat for a little while and waited for the lady. It started. First the year 1 went up and carrying on with the other years then it was our turn. We got up in a line then walk up onto the stage . We got our meals and then took a picture of my netball team. Then it was time to go back home. It was fun getting our meals.           

My re-crating paragraph

Aldora’s Cross Country Recount

Today we are practiced re- crating a piece of writing. The first paragraph belongs  aldora and the second is mine.

“yeah” I said happily to myself. I was nearly there. I sprinted to the finish line and  made myself happy. I had a drink and then I had a rest. Looking
down at my pretty purple and black shoes, it was all muddy and yucky.

My writing
“YAY” I sang proudly to myself. I was so ecstatic that I had cross the finish line. As I past the fountain I had a drink, then I sat down. Looking at my shoes they were covered with thick mud. We all felt exhausted.

My story about Liu Xinga

Thinking in my head I have to win this for my country China. If I was the winner in 2004 I would be able to win this. My goal is to win that gold meal. Take your marks
get set go.


I went off running fast and I jumped over the first hurdle and I crashed onto the ground. My muscle hurt. I got up I was seeing if my leg was fine. I was so disappointed in myself.


I got up and I hopped out of the stadium and someone told me I can't go out that way.It was the was the pepole had to come through. So I turned around and walked down the track and kissed the last hurdle. Then two other men helped me get to the end.


It was my last time at the 110m hurdle.

 

Cross Country

Last week on Friday we had Cross Country. We had to sit by Room 18 and wait for Mr. Burt. He took as down to the reserve. Well I was walking I felt so scared that I was gonna come last.


Getting ready my heart was beating faster and faster. Mr. Burt had two brick in his hand. He said “Ready set go”. He clap them together and of we went.


I went of running. I was coming last with my friend. I tried to catch with the others up the top. I a lot of muddy patches. I said to one of the telecom helpers” How do you fun this mud”. I was coming in ninth places. My other friend was coming eighth places.


I went thru the bush walk. I went pass my friend and I saw coming eighth places. I went pass Mrs. Squires . I was tired when I got to school. I came to the finish line I was so happy because I came eighth. My brother was cheering for me. Then I went to have a drink. Then I waiting to watch my brother.

Usain Bolt story

Getting ready to run the race, Usain Bolt, is a gifted athlete. The world's fastest man, swiftly fired up like the wind. Speeding down the tracks, Usain Bolt, outran the others.

fter years of training, usain Bolt made it to this moment here, the Olympics. 2 Years in a row. Visualizing the race, the world’s fastest man, was balanced on the blocks. “ Take your marks”, waiting..... A hush falls. GO!!!! The athletes ran

The worlds double Olympic champion usain Bolt blitz  the race. He is a 6 time gold medalist and a superstar athlete. Will he return? and what is his future.

Cross Country Practice

While we were going to Cross Country Practice we were sitting on the court and talking. Mr Marks said  “The year 5 girls” I went off  running. Then I saw the year 5 boys so I started to run even faster.

I went past Miss Ouano and I stop and speed walked. I felt so tired then. I got up to Miss King and I ran. I ran past the trees and around Mr Somerville.


I felt so tired when I got to the court. I love this exercise.  

The Olympic Flame

The Olympic flame was ancient for the Olympic at Olympia.The Olympic flame must keep on burning until the ancient Olympic games close.

The flame was lit by a curved mirror. The mirror reflects the heat of the sun on top of the Olympic flame. It is performed by women dressed in ancient style robes.

The lighting of the flame is the most important event in the Olympic stadium. It keeps going until the games are concluded.
